Spring is here, part DEUX

February 23, 2011

As promised on Saturday’s Facebook status, we wanted to show you a way in which you can incorporate all of the shades found in this wool/silk blend rug found at ABC Carpet and Home, here in NYC, that we stumbled upon while looking for a totally different type of rug for another one of our clients. I had snapped a picture of it because I was so inspired by the palette and thought it would be so appropriate to develop a scheme for this, since like Jessica said yesterday, it is Spring! Enjoy!

Benjamin Moore Peachy Keen 2014-40

We’d start with Benjamin Moore’s Peachy Keen (now isn’t that so apropos for Spring!) in a SUPER high gloss finish. Because the walls are so powerful, we’d opt to keep the upholstery light in color – but feel free to have fun with texture – velvets, chenilles, tweeds – will all do just fine. Next, we’d consider our accents which can range from turquoise to gold/yellow and warm grays. By distributing all of the different colors EVENLY around the room, the ultimate result can be serene and lively at the same time.
